Secure Video Appointments

Available during a pandemic, or during non-pandemic times when preferred.

How do Video Sessions work?

Video sessions are a great option if you are unable to attend in person psychotherapy visits for one or two sessions, or following a face to face initial appointment, as a regularly scheduled appointment. I greatly prefer having at least one face to face appointment prior to scheduling ongoing telehealth sessions. I realize this is not always possible or practical and if needed, can waive this preference.

My video sessions take place over an encrypted platform through my private practice management program, Simple Practice. I will provide a link for you to access the secure video 48 hours prior to our scheduled appointment to your email.

What do I need for a video appointment?

  • Computer, phone or tablet with internally integrated speaker, microphone, and camera

  • External microphone (if your device does not have a high quality one integrated)

  • External camera (if your device does not have a high quality one integrated)

  • Headphones (if your device does not have high quality speakers integrated or if you want more privacy)

  • A private location - Please make sure you have a quiet and private space for your psychotherapy appointment.

  • Additionally, you need to ensure you have access to a high speed internet connection. Use Google’s speed test to test the quality of your internet. If either your download or upload speed is below 3 Mbps, the quality of the nternet connection may not be adequate. Additionally, before your session, close all other browsers and applications to ensure a better connection.
